What and Why

Have you ever wondered what works and what does not?  We certainly have.   Most Game Masters (GMs) want to run the most enjoyable game possible, but many GMs, whether they are old-timers or freshly minted, wonder what sources they can trust.    That’s where Applied Game Mastery Reel Play comes in.   Each month, we sit down at the gaming table, discuss a skill, technique, or tool, and then implement it during that play session.  After the session, we have a frank round-table discussion about what worked, what did not, and how it could be improved. 

Who

We are currently casting for our Table Team.   The primary role of the table team members is to play the game and give feedback on sessions.  Members of the table team may be asked to assist with product reviews or act as a presenter or co-presenter in one of our instructional videos. 

We are casting a diverse group of players (4 primaries and 4 alternates) to be part of our show.  See the Casting Call for additional information. Alternates will assist by adding color commentary to live streams and providing post-game analysis.

When and Where

Initially, we will be recording and live-streaming on one Sunday per month, from 1 pm to 7 pm in Efland, North Carolina (near Saxapahaw, NC), possibly moving to two sessions per month as the show develops.   Each live stream will be edited for YouTube, with player and GM commentary adjacent to clips from the live stream.

How

Playing games of course!   Each month, our volunteer cast plays through an ongoing TTRPG campaign and tests the tips, tools, and techniques for creating the best gaming experience in actual play. 

Audition and Submission Process
